Orbital

Published by

Orbital are an English electronic dance music duo from Sevenoaks, Kent consisting of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll….

Well that’s what Wikipedia states but i am sure that anyone who has come across them know that summing up what Orbital are, is a difficult task.

They certainly had a massive impact in my life and still do. Loopz the paper zine was created to cover their work and then when the “internet” took off, so did Loopz in one of it’s many binary versions. The site became official and that led to many years of following them globally.

Nowadays the Loopz website has slowly took a step back, whilst a more media driven official website now controls their online presence. Oh and then there is facebook…..flm!

This website now covers the bits i cannot be placed on the official site. The bootleg videos, the word on the street news and the more random of conversations. It is, as if Loopz has gone full circle and that is good for those like to know every aspect of Orbital.

At the end of 2013, I decided to break the Loopz website down into other subject matter and this is why all Orbital material is moving to a sub-section called Orbital.

Below this section you will see a lot of nice articles with audio and video, so please go and explore.

As you were….

This page has the following sub pages.

Especially the Techno period was great!
But the more experimental albums that started with “Snivilisation” and “The Box “are awesome!!!

Thanks Steve and “Hello” from long-time list subscriber of the late 90’s still in Tennessee and still rocking Orbital. Hello to Aimee. Hello to Phil and Paul of course. Sad I missed you in 2012 visit to moogfest in Asheville, NC (just over the mountains from me) but we was having our daughter who is now a lively 4 year princess warrior! Cheers to the UK and our heart goes out to Manchester. I would love to visit a city full of such great love.

Hi Shannon – good to virtually see you again.
So many cool words in one post
I have a four year old son and a fifteen year old daughter, who saw Ariana the week before. Every time things like this happen, we hug our children tighter and then continue with life. We can’t let those who bring terror dictate how we live . All the best to you and yours
