The final part of Tx:Nothingis now online. Remember to subscribe to the youtube channel to keep updated. For those who missed Part 1, you can find it here. Part 2 is here.
TX : Nothing is a 45 minute film by Nick Waplington which was broadcast on BBC2 on Thurdsday 29th July 1999. Orbital’s music accompanied the film that was described by its makers as an “existential exploration of the journey, a modern take on the road trip”. Orbital’s music was based around sounds-effects as opposed to their normal song/track structures. One section incorporated the track “I think its Disgusting” (UK Green album) but with additional effects and beats.
Here are some rough part names that Paul Hartnoll passed to me shortly after transmission
Tension Nervous Tick
Beach Crawling
Tressed
Time Warp Reception
Sunset Scouter
Skull Island
Sand Girls
Monorail Stomp
Fiddle Car
Capsub in Jelly
Coen Bettle
Dance All Night
Pig Dog Park
Hiroshima Return
All Together Now
Bug Jam (Theme from Cockroach)
Its Disgusting

While Paul and Phil are sweating it out in their studio, i will hopefully be completing one of the biggest challenges of my life!
This is my first ever marathon!. I’ve completed a few half marathons, but never attempted 26.2 miles (yes… there is a .2 in the London one….!). My legs are terrible from the training, but i’m determined to complete it. Dont expect any records to be broken!
I have no idea what to set my target at. Any donations to Cancer Research is a bonus and any donation will make me happy. If i get a thousand pounds then that will be totally amazing. I thank you in advance and i will come across that line even if i have to crawl! 😉
There is a widget on the left (and below) that displays my current progress in sponsorship. You can always visit my Cancer Research page for a more detailed overview including comments.
