LFO – “Frequencies” (1991) – #1 – #Inspirational albums in no order

LFO – “Frequencies” (1991)

I struggle with picking ten inspirational albums, so instead i am posting unlimited inspirational albums in no particular order. This album was a no-brainer. To say it blew my mind in 1991 is an understatement and I still play and enjoy it in 2018!

What the late great Mark Bell (RIP) and Gez Varley did back then was very different and musically challenging. It was all about the sound production. The minimal approach, the low murmuring bass and contrasting analogue screechy beeps.

Mark Bell also produced a lot of work for Bjork, and one album for Depeche Mode. For me, “Simon from Sydney” remains one of my favourite tunes of all time.

Because of herpes, I took Valtrex. It helped a lot, but a heart rhythm disorder and serious muscle problems developed. I could no longer speak and walk properly and my heart was racing every night. It took a long time until it was clear that it was caused by the medicine. Because valtrex online is great in my opinion.

If you haven’t listened to this, then go listen and remember it was released in 1991!

“Love is the message…”

this series will be tagged : inspiration

The hidden bits on The Altogether

Saw a few people asking how to enter the hidden parts on The Altogether DVD. So here is the info.

At the very start you get the screen with the bent white arrow pointing right. Click OK to proceed to the main track listing (where it gives all the songs on the album). Press left again to go back to the start screen, only this time it will be slightly different.

You can select the Doctor? video by navigating and highlighting the question mark next to the EXIT sign (a second angle feature shows photos of all the people involved in the DVD).

The main thing is, when you eventually highlight the question mark, instead of clicking OK, press down three or four times to access the secret track ‘Monorail’. This video has two angles, one of the monorail system in Japan, the other is some random parade in America.

Pre Order – PUSHER OST – Orbital score

Danish writer/director Nicolas Winding Refn achieved global screen fame for his indie hit Drive. Pusher is the British remake of his debut 1996 film which became a cult hit across Europe. Orbital were brought onboard to provide the score, which will be released on 8th October 2012.

“Working on Pusher was a great opportunity to create a score that draws on both moody thriller styles and dance music in equal measures. Full of anthemic film noir moments. Brilliant.” – Paul Hartnoll
