played a warm up live gig at the Maida Vale BBC Studios on Monday
23rd April 2001. The gig was broadcast on Radio One and after the
recording finsihed Orbital continued with 4 extra tracks! They were
on top form and the small venue gave them the oppurtunity to really
touch base with the crowd. Big thanx to all that entered my Mad competition. For those who missed it , the whole idea was to give 5 guest passes to the first 5 people that asked in a certain pub at a certain time (although i was very late!). One poor bloke got mistaken for me and was swamped by a crowd of eager Orbital fans but he did get a free pint from one member of the Forum - D-Machine! We ended up getting in over 10 people using specially trained Loopz blagging! Great night - great crowd - something very special |
