Watching Orbital live is just like sex...its so great while its happening and it always seems to end too quickly : ) Far and away my favorite trance live so far Orbital rocked WHITE so hard the quite afterwards was almost painful!!! There were people dancing and going nuts everywhere!!! This is the kind of event that has made my time up here at Fuji less a job than an adventure. They had these radar dish looking speakers that spun so the music washed over the crowd like a wave...it was soooo cool : ) One of the coolest points was the intos to certain songs...They cut out voices from old TV shows or something and mixed them into the begining of the track so that you got a trippy bit right before they launched into the fray...Trancy, trippy, and totally danceable these guys had the whole crowd moving like flames from a candle. There were also a couple of cool happening at this live...The flower guy was back!!! After not seeing this character since yesterday afternoon I was worried that he had left but no there he was swaying and radiating that love/peace vibe that has made him such a fixture up here...Another groovy thing was this guy who right in the middle of the set started running around with a Korea/Japan World Cup flag, I talked to him later and he was a totally die hard football nut!!! Very interesting character but I mean how random is that : ) It has gotten to the point that these articles are hard to write because I keep telling you how cool all of these acts are but hey its true : ) And Orbital was definitly among the groovier cats up here...made me dance, made me sweat, made me groove...nice set guys, Im totally looking forward to seeing you again live ASAP
