Not the Arts centre surely?
the prodigy - their law: the singles tour
Moderators: Loopz, usernick, legspin, jof, the PLA
LMAO, trying to call that a concert venue is stretching it somewhat.
Mind you, saw my first ever gig there, The Inspiral Carpets way back in 1990.
The thing is nowadays you gotta be desparate to play there - its a bad thing when you cant even get the BIC.
How many people from this board are from Bournemouth????

Err well I still live here...
Rikkie is obviously a fellow Bournemouthite and willsy used to live down here before he downgraded to Andover
Big Country eh... werent they the fellas who had bagpipe sounding guitars?
Over the years I've been here the BIC has pulled in some big names;
Oasis, Blur, Prodigy, Bjork, Flaming Lips, Coldplay, ELO (bring it on!!), FLC, Beta Band, Blue, Blazin Squad, Sugarbabes, Corrs, and Atomic Kitten were due to play too but they split up (shame).
Obviously I didnt go to all of these gigs
although I had the opportunity to dress up in an animal suit and dance on the stage shining a torch on the crowd during the Flaming Lips but declined as I actually wanted to watch them and not sweat buckets.
The best venue in my opinion around these parts is Southampton Guildhall, which rocks. Saw Orbital play there a few years back and it was rather good

As you'll see from my avatar I didn't turn down the chance to appear on stage with the Lips in an animal suit. I was most chuffed at being the first to choose therefore bagging my cherished panda costume. Yes it was hot, bastard hot, but worth every minute. I just wished I'd have been able to catch them on the next night at Brighton so I could have enjoyed them as an audience member. Wayne Coyne is **such** a nice bloke it's untrue.
Actually Big Country did used to be a good live band in the musical dearth of the 80s. And yeah, they did sound of bagpipes. Lead singer committed suicide a few years back...
And Andover????!! Christ, why woukd anyone wanna live there out of choice?
