Re: I need some music tips

I've been going through a real ambient phase at the moment, and can heartily recommend Stars Of The Lid - fantastic stuff. Also, try a bit of Jon Hopkins , Brian Eno & Harold Budd (Ambient 2 & The Pearl). I've also been getting into a little Steve Roach (some of it can be a little digeridoo-...

Re: Tycho Music!

I'll give a resounding IDM-like YAY to Tycho as well. Accusations of BoC-lite are not unfounded, but I really enjoy his material, and his graphic design is superb - in fact I've even bought several of his prints. Great stuff!

As you'll see from my avatar I didn't turn down the chance to appear on stage with the Lips in an animal suit. I was most chuffed at being the first to choose therefore bagging my cherished panda costume. Yes it was hot, bastard hot, but worth every minute. I just wished I'd have been able to catch ...

Crikey... I saw the first ever gig at the BIC, back in, ooooh, was it 1984? Nope Soz, I was only 6 then. Okay... it was Big Country. Actually they did used to be a damn good live band. At least we've got our one decent gig in Poole this year with Ian Brown popping in. Er, where on earth in P...

Must've been the plump dj's mix then. Nah it's the Weekend Ravers mix isn't it? Thought that was Orbital's own mix (and far superior to the single mix IMHO). Are you sure??? I'm willing to bet a wagon wheel, a blackcurrent flavour popsicle and a copy of Nutz with Abi Titmuss on the cover that...

I'm still sad about the split, though I understand why and applaud them for having the balls to do it. Orbital were a massive part of my musical life since I accidentally stumbled upon them whilst waiting for Pulp to turn up at Glasto 95. Before then I wasn't a "dance music" fan at all in ...

Really good to hear on this gig the seguiing between tracks that as missing from the final outing.

Anyone got a **cough** MP3 of this?

Crikey... I saw the first ever gig at the BIC, back in, ooooh, was it 1984? Starbar to the first person to tell me what what it was. I could not get on with The Prodge's last album, it was just a noisy bloody noise to me. I think the poor sales have something to do with them announcing this as a 'gr...

Re: halcyon days

There's at least two (at least; not counting LIVE) varying full length versions of the track out there: Halcyon+on+on and the 11 min Halcyon from Radiccio EP. Hmm, I just dug up that Radiccio version, and it starts pretty similarly to +on+on, I guess. I prefer the +on +on intro. I dunno, there's so...

No problem - and thanks for the efforts. As for inappropriate songs, I'm really having to resist putting "Every Day I Love You Less And Less" by the Kaiser Cheifs of my evening mix... Dare I, dare I? Hmmmm.... The Zero 7 story's class... Mind you I'm surprised that got past the registrar's...
