MISC - Chat in the #ORBITAL Room

Another pasttime for a lot of people on the undernet is IRC (Internet Relay Chat). I decided to setup an ORBITAL chat room in attempt to attract other mad Orbital fans. I think i managed to attract "mad" people at the moment....and some are Orbital fans :)

I would recommend that you attempt to download mIRC by reading futher on but if you would like to use the website to connect then please read the following disclaimer:-

1) The utility used is not registered but if it becomes a popular area then we can look into getting it registered (unless you wish to pay :) ).
2) The utility appears to work fine on Internet Explorer 4 onwards but other browsers produce mixed results.
3) It WONT work if you are behind a firewall.
4) Please be patient if it appears no one is talking. You may have to re-visit the channel a couple of times before getting anything from it.
5) If you see LOOPZ then that should be me. Say hello!
6) Let me know if you tried it out, if it worked and what happened :)

Click HERE to try out the WEBSITE CHAT or read on to find out how to connect using mIRC.

If you have never tried IRC then i recommend you point your browser towards the mIRC homepage - http://www.mirc.co.uk. Grab the software for your setup and then follow the instructions below to make the connection to the #ORBITAL room on the undernet. If you see somone called LOOPZ then it most likely is me. Say hello!

So...you have your software , now amend your server settings to point to the server London.Uk.Eu.Undernet.Org or look in the list for an Undernet server that is close to where you are situated.

Change the port number to the following ports 6667,6668,6669,7000 or try the defaults. If you cant connect then you could try changing this.

Once you have successfully connected join the #ORBITAL channel by typing /JOIN #ORBITAL if you are using mIRC. It is also the most commonly used command to perform this operation on other IRC clients. If you can see @W in the channel then you have made it! Say hello and introduce yourself but remember that sometimes the visitors in the channel may not answer immediately. So be patient and stay in the channel for a few minutes.

If there are any spelling mistakes or any other problems then please inform me via email.
