The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Brilliant! Shame it's all mimed, except for the vocals.
Especially Thomas Dolby's gratuitous use of the Roland TB-303 to supposedly trigger samples!
Given the time (1985) I'd have to say that I believe the music was pre-recorded....

Definitely, I would think that it would have been near-impossible to pull off a truly live performance like that in 1985.

But definitely worth seeing, if only for Thomas Dolby's hairdo!

I noticed that absolutely none of that kit was plugged in... Nice idea though.

I've been a synth-pop junkie ever since I started listening to music back in the early 80's. Thanks for sharing this cool link, I also find stuff from Rupert Hine, The Twins and Naked Eyes at the site. Excellent!
