The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

I'm not goin to that one but i'm probably going to Thursday Brum gig. Not heard the new material but i've heard a lot of negative comments about it.

I'd totally forgotten about this and can't make it...
Loopz, the new album isn't brilliant. ...and I'm a massive Coldcut fan.

Well I think the new album is brilliant. But then again I'm not a massive Coldcut fan. So maybe this is why.
By the way, some tracks on the album are different from the leaked version (the most obvious is "Just For the Kick"). But overall, I don't think it would change anyone's opinion on the whole album.

I think its so-so.
Although the more I hear it the more I like it.
Very different from previous outings though.
I don't know you people... why are you here?

It'll be so hard for them to ever beat 'Let Us Play'....

Supported them in Oxford on Friday.
Thought show was decent, but didn't blow me away like they used to.
I also find Robert Owens slightly irritating.
That'll be all.

A review from someone on the Orb list who went last night:
"saw coldcut tonite in birmingham ..they were very good live vocals and lots of visuals scratchin video, had an encore and lots of cheers!
they sure had everything under control !"
