The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Loads of DJs too, but cant be arsed recalling them... I dont think I could to be honest.
Didnt enjoy all of them. I think the White Stripes did it for me the most.
Lemon Jelly would have won hands down if it wasnt for the bad sound in both Brixton and the forum... compared to the crisp clarity that they had at the Big Chill the year before...
Got Goldfrapp and the Prodigy to look forward too.
I don't know you people...why are you here? MEMS MUZAK
I've been horrifically skint this year so I've been to one paltry gig - The Pixies at Alexandra Palace, London. Bloomin' marvellous.
Dagnabbit, I need gainful employment to get out of this temping rut and earn me some hard cash for gigs, more PC processing power and an upgrade for my music software setup (I want SONAR v5! My v2.2 is all very lovely but I want those swanky extra plugins and shiny new GUI)
Snap. Seen loads this year, can't remember more than the likes of Hexstatic several times, Exactshit bootlegs sets, Autechre (twice) and christ knows what else...
"Gimme the sight to see
another world outside that's full of
all the broken things that I made"
Finally I can answer one of these threads, since because of my gap (half a) year I've managed to drag my bottom to quite a lot of events. So here:
Live:
The Prodigy (my number one on the list of bands to see before I die!)
Juno Reactor
Mouse On Mars
Brothomstates
Infected Mushroom
Aavikko
Annie
Blamstrain
Bad Loop & Recue
Us3
+Other jazz bands, some weird traditional greek band and probably some band/bands I can't even remember
DJ's (bound to be too many for me to remember and most of them'll be totally unrecognisable for you lot):
Kevin Saunderson
Teebee
DJ Rok
Muffler
Infekto
Apo
Proteus (the guy seems to be everywhere these days, opened for both Prodge and Juno)
Tres
Halo
Orkidea
Tres
Puistokemisti
Eliot Ness
Samuli Kemppi
Tim Duster
Tripteaser
Salakavala
Soma
Kris Kylven
Nemes
Benn
E-Nrg
Bates
De La Rocha
Markus S
+ A bunch of others, mainly ones at your regular clubs (also in Greece and Turkey) where nobody cares about who the DJ is...
An no, I didn't remember all of those DJ's by heart. I checked out the flyers of the places I went to for most of the names. Some of them, like Mr. Saunderson, I only saw for a track or too...
Snap. Seen loads this year, can't remember more than the likes of Hexstatic several times, Exactshit bootlegs sets, Autechre (twice) and christ knows what else...
Bent - DJ
Phil Hartnoll - DJ
Strictly Kev - DJ
Tom Middleton - DJ
Oh geez, it's been SUCH an uneventful year, didn't even make it to Koneisto...
At least I saw Brothomstates, Blamtrain and some other Finnish electro groups. Oh yea, and this hip-hopper, Sere, rapping with my university lecturer. That was strange.
Plus, some interesting DJ events.
gee, better go out more - or rather: More International Acts To Where I Can See Them Please!

(to start you off)
Yeah, but most of that lot was at the Big Chill...
I know I've seen Dollboy, Meat Beat Manifesto, a few Xfm remix nights, Infusion and others but I genuinely can't remember all of it.
"Gimme the sight to see

I've seen and heard a monumental amount of high quality music (plus a fair bit of shite stuff, too) in various locations so far this year and, once again,Danny Howells and King Unique still dishing out the most entertaining nights around (clocked 'em both 6 times and counting in 2005 : ).
Yeah, I've seen shitloads of good live music and DJs this year - been out doing music things probably 80% of weekends since January. Won't bother even thinking about a full list, but I've heard some great stuff... and got plenty more quality gigs lined up for the remainder of the year!
"People say that alcohol's a drug. It's not a drug, it's a drink."
Nine Inch Nails
Atomic Hooligan (although i cant remember this one at all but was there!!!)
London Electricity
The Earlies
Bonobo

Mylo
Infusion
Roots Manuva
Evil Nine (live)
Breakfastaz x 10+ est
Freestylers x 10+ est
Phil Hartnoll
Stanton Warriors (lots)
Plump Dj's x 10+ est
Krafty Kuts (loads)
Scratch Perverts (a few times)
the list could go on all day where dj's are concerned!!!!
Its been a great year and still got The Prodigy to look forward to in a few weeks time.
Best gig for me this year has to be Nine Inch Nails - was completely blown away by how good they were live.
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.
