Their Law: Something missing....

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Their Law: Something missing....

Has anyone noticed something's missing from the Prodigy singles album?

What? Baby's Got A Temper? ;)

Well looking at the tracklist on amazon.com, there's a couple of singles missing, including What Evil Lurks, Fire, Wind It Up, Mindfields (which was only released as a casette, before Liam decided to not release it at all). These are just of the top of my head... Is there some bigger hit that I'm missing? :)

I hadn't noticed 'Fire' was missing, but yes, was on about the totally disowned 'BGAT'. Alreayd clocked 'What Evil Lurks' was not on there too...

So, a singles collection then is it?

Actually, it's worth it for the Pendulum remix of 'Voodoo People'.

Agreed. This is one of the most bangin' tracks I've heard in ages, and mad fun at any club, as I can say from my own experience. :) The "reality show" video for it is excellent too. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, you can watch it for free here: http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/musicvideos/1926

Also if Back 2 School is anywhere near as good on the CD (since I haven't got my paws on it yet) as it was live, it's worth it for that alone as well.

Best-Of-Singles albums have a tendency to be uncomplete unfortunately, why wasn't "Omen", "The Saint" or "Beached" included on Orbital's "Work" album?

missing

Post by jessopjessopjessop »

Yeah, I thought Fire should have been on there too. I've never even heard BGAT though, since someone told me it was awful. But 'Wind it Up' is pretty cool. They certainly released a load of singles in their time, didn't they?!

The Pendulum mix of Voodoo People is fabbo - although I already got it on the single the week before.

Yeah, but then that was touted as a 'Best of' and not a 'Singles' collection. If a band is deliberately going to use the word 'singles' in the title, it implies that it's a collection of all the singles they've released from inception to the anthology release date... Well, it does to me anyway...

Why do you care? Baby's Got A Temper is one of the hugest pieces of shit ever released. It would put people off buying that compilation if they knew 4 minutes of the disc had that crock on it

I don't care, I just think it's funny that Liam & Co are so embarrassed about it's existance. I know that Liam disowned it just after it's release.

Liam has also admitted that "Titan" the brilliant track he recorded with 3D for The Uranus Project porno film was left off the album cause he had forgotten all about it.
