Paying Homage?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Just got the new John Tejada ablum yesterday 'Cleaning sounds is a dirty business. Maybe 'tis just me but it sounds like it could be a missing Orbital ablum.

I've been championing John Tejada since last year. He has produced some great stuff and yes a lot of it reminds me of early Orbital. The new album is great, "Mutation", "The Zone" and "Paper Jet" are my favs.

If you haven't already check out his collaboration with Arian Leviste from 2005 - "Back For Basics" album. especially listen to "Triad Jack" and tell me it doesnt scream "Green Album" at ya!

Aye,tis a grand album but other than being electronic and decent sounding I wouldn't say it sounded particularly like Orbital :?:

Some Tejada stuff's great, but he's done some proper cack too. Bought an album of his a few years back that I'd be happy to never hear again. All clanky bollocks.

Very true. Was quite surprised at this latest album.
Was also beginning to think I had overstated the Orbital bit but I had another listen today and I can definitly hear the influences.
