He is brown bread :) I think i've only seen one live badger (excluding Matt of course) and that was on my hols this year.

Road kill is the only way most people ever see a badger unfortunatly. They are not quite as adaptable as foxes and thus are still a rural animal in the main. As with all rural animals they are thus quite timid unless provoked when they are efficent and excellent fighters, but are still no match for the average car :(
