Gary Numan

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

He's playing (actually headling, i think) the Electric Picnic in sunny Ireland this year. Must make a point of seeing him.

What is his current stuff like....does it hark back to his early electronic days at all??

Bugger, I didn't know he was touring. Is this a Numan tour or a Jagged tour?

current stuff.. jagged is a good album, haunted is my favorite track of it, don't know about comparing with his earlier stuff.. i think it's quite a good progression from hybrid.

it's not just a tour for jagged though, he was playing lots of stuff he even played are 'friends' electric.. which i thought he said he wasn't playing live anymore?

Reading the current Future Music, is seems that Jagged is more of a collaboration project than a proper Numan album...

Still, I doubt that I'll get to see him on this tour, which is a pisser as I've not seen him since the 'Exile' tour...

Numan's Beggar Banquet stuff can't be touched, but his new album is pretty good IMO. Ade Fenton has handled the production and added some nice analouge synths to Numan's goth rock fest.

There's a microsite for the album @ http://www.jagged-album.com which offers the track "Haunted" as a free taster :)
