John Peel Day

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Well, I went to the gig in the QEH on Wednesday (after drinking since 3:30pm)! :P

Got to the venue just in time for Delia Smith to introduce Super Furry Animals, and then prompty slept through their entire half an hour set! :P

For New Order (introduced by Fergal Sharkey), I woke up again, rushed down to the mosh pit that was down the front and got treated to 6 Joy Division tracks (including Shadowplay, Warsaw, Love Will Tear Us Apart, She's Lost Control, Transmission and Atmosphere) - fcuking excellent! 8)

RIP, John - I'll be buying the autobiography on Monday - it looks really good (had a glance through my brother's copy - he works in a bookshop - gets stuff early) :)

Currently listening to Annie Nightingale playing the last Maida Vale gig...
...including all the "Badger Badger" shouts! :)

Woo hoo! :D
You'll find me by the speakers.
