bond
By now I imagine you've all seen that the new Bond is Daniel Craig of 'Layer Cake' and 'Archangel' fame. Could be good.
Fact x Importance = News
Craig was great in Layer Cake.
This is a very good choice, in my opinion.

Well, I didn't know Daniel Craig was up for it, but it's nice to know Clive Owen was in there right up until the end.... So, now we have Blonde, James Blonde
I think he'll be pretty good. I've liked his stuff since 'Our Friends In The North' with Mark Strong and a certain Christopher Eccleston too.

Even though i think Daniel Craig's performance in Layer Cake was superb i feel he lacks the kind of sharp charisma the bond character needs.
I have a copy of the BMW short films DVD called "The Hire" featuring Clive Owen in all 8 films...he is really very good in these predominantly car chase themed stories and in my opinion would have made a better bond than Daniel Craig.

Well, having the same DVD and loving it too, thats why I thought Clive Owen would be perfect for the role as Bond. I mentioned this point to Jof the other night who pretty much said the same thing as I did in that the BMW films were pretty much Owen's audition reel for the Bond films. Apparently, he didn't really want to be typecast in the role of James Bond, so that may have swayed the decision to Daniel Craig.Willsy wrote:Even though i think Daniel Craig's performance in Layer Cake was superb i feel he lacks the kind of sharp charisma the bond character needs.
