Just saw One Hour Photo. Was a bit dubious because I'm not a Robin Williams fan but really enjoyed it. Great cinematography and very tense...

Great film much better than The Chronicles of Riddick IMO.

went to a free preview showing of "four brothers" on wednesday, good film if you don't mind a bit of violence

watched a dodgy pirate of "batman begins" the next night. also a cool film that could have done with being watched 'properly'

The fights and stunts in Ong Bak are truly amazing, and they really look like they HURT.

Tony Jaa used no wires, no stunt men and no cg in the movie, and when you look at the stuff he does, that's incredible.

Yeah saw A History of Violence yesterday as well - quite simply a breathtaking film and easilly the best film of the year for me so far.

Utterly compelling and brutal, with fantastic performances from all the cast.

Cronenberg's best ever - from what I'm hearing from across the pond this is getting quite a lot of Oscar buzz already....

Last week i watched "Scent of a Woman" purely because i heard the opening credits and thought...ahhh Thomas Newman. Great film apart from a bit of typical hollywood happy crap near the end (it didnt need to be there).

I'm still going through "Lost". Up to episode 21 now . superb

Last night i watched BATMAN & ROBIN: DE-ASSIFIED.

Basically the bloody awful 4th installment of the Batman franchise with A LOAD of the crap one-liners, useless bat gadgets, lame gratuitous ass-shots and other useless stuff REMOVED. Of course, when you do this youre not left with much, and indeed its a much more bearable 60mins now vs the 95mins of the original. Its amazing just how much of the "story" really was surplus to requirements. It really now feels like a 1 hour special like a double episode of the 60s Batman.

watched a dvd this afternoon called "lava". i wouldn't call it good as such, but it was entertaining
