General Orb News Thread

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

"orbsessions is being manufactured and will be in the shops on october 3rd and it looks and feels fantastic - AND it's got holographic printing on it! AND there'll be a limited edition vinyl version too..."

Oh, and btw, Transit Kings t-shirts are now available to buy - I've pre-ordered one so that I get it in time for the Big Chill! :)

To hear tracks from the new album, if you're around on 22nd October, then get yourself to the Coronet in Elephant & Castle, London:

Kundalini 10th Birthday Party
Saturday, 22nd October 2005

"The ever prolific Dr Alex Paterson of the Orb will also be DJing, giving the crowd exclusive previews of not one but two brand new album releases plus a few Orb classics in his set! The first, 'Okie Dokie it's The Orb on Kompakt Disco' (Kompakt) was co-written with none other than Thomas Fehlmann. The 'ORB sessions volume 1', (Malicious Damage) is an album of unreleased tracks taken from various recording sessions from over the years."

He's also DJ'ing at Catch 22, Kingsland Road, London (nr Old Street) as part of "Pushin' Plastic" on Thursday 22nd September.

And also as DJ support for the Meat Beat Manifesto gig at the end of September (in Cargo, London, UK).

Yeah whatever ;)

Will definitely be having a copy of 'Orbsessions' from Malicious Damage. I'm on their mailing list, so no doubt will find out when it's on sale...
