The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.
I was a little disappointed when the prog ended with Jonny Cash playing his recorded cover version of Nine Inch Nails - Hurt...all the experts were raving about how incredible it was that Jonny was finally coming out to everyone telling the world of his pain and suffering in this song...with absolutely no reference to NIN to credit them for this powerful song....
annoyed me anyway!!!!
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.
Agree with you Willsy.
I didnt see watch it but you even repeating that is enough to piss me off.
I read once that Trent said something along the lines of "here's Johnny Cash's song Hurt "at a gig once!

I guess they mention Dolly Parton in the sleeve credits tho and make reference to the fact its her song?
Unlike the said BBC programme...

Err, it's on the album 'Ultimate Dolly Parton' which features 20 of Dolly's "finest" work and then track 21 is the Bent remix. It was all official and above board. Dolly's people got in touch with Simon and Nail and asked them to do it. I nearly fell over when Simon told me they were remixing Dolly Parton, but the result is stunning, expecially when you hear the original track!

all the broken things that I made"
