My work flooded!
There was a nice long post here about my work flooding...
It featured over 40mm of rain, two tornadoes in the area, and water pouring down walls.
Then there was a fire alarm and we had to evacuate the buildling. And then I was escorted by a fireman to my locker to get my bag.
I wonder, is flooding the right word to use if the water comes in from the roof and makes its way down?
But then the board ate my post. I swear the older version was much more exciting.
We're closed until further notice.

Mmmm men in uniform! The one was a bit short though.
I wish it was a free day off, we're being told to report to one of the other branches, but nobody's said which one, or if we should show up at normal time or not. My department only operates out of the one branch, so it's not like there's much we can do at another branch.

Wish I could
I'm already booked to go away next weekend, so the timing isn't great. Unless we're going to be closed next week, then I may try to change my flight but hopefully it won't take nearly that long.
It looks like the situation is going to be very day to day, plus we're trying to get our union involved (my department is in the process of unionizing) b/c all other staff get to go work at other locations and be paid. NOT fair.
