Dog or Phil, I think you should ring Chris Moyles up, I reckon he'd wanna speak to you for sure, hear your story, have a bit of an 'interview' on air and you can finally put to bed those Brighton rumours

It's about 1 hr 25 minutes into the show (when you listen again) - just after the quiz!

BTW, it's just made the Radio One 'C' Playlist and there's people on the forum asking why it's only on the 'C' list!

Most people in my office heard it on the way into work this morning. And in Kathryn's office they all listen to Galaxy (on FM up here, not the digital station) and it's been on their playlist for ages apparently!

From DJ magazine:

"..."Doctor Pressure' is just a bit of ridiculous, comedy pop music," said Mylo. "And what with the Flat Packj release [of Sweet Child O Mine], I suppose you could say we've got totally pop."

"...'Doctor Pressure' was a booty that originated in Brighton, put together by a pair called 'Phil and Doug', who handed the CDR version to Mylo when he played at the seaside town. Mylo loved the tune, which takes the b-line from 'Drop the Pressure' and puts it with the full vocal of 'Dr Beat', and started playing it. Interest mounted and he decided to attempt a legal version of the booty, a process that was made easy because the Miami Sound Machine are also signed to Sony BMG...."

"..."Releasing 'Doctor Pressure' gets us out of a bind," said Mylo. ";Drop the Pressure' went to No.19 in the charts when it came out last year and when we signed to Sony, they wanted to release it again. I didn't want to do it because I don't want to be seen to be milking things. Doing this bootleg instead gets us out of that argument."

Also, in Mixmag they say that 'Drop the Pressure' was originally inspired by 'Dr Beat' so Mylo wanted to pay tribute by ingeniously putting the two together. No mention of Phil and Doug whatsoever.

I already knew about 'Doug' so that wasn't a surprise... One day, someone will get all the information right!

As for Mixmag... Thats twice they've totally blanked us. Mind you, it is only Mixmag I s'pose. It's just a comic

Just read this in the Pink Paper:

'Bill and Doug, who own a massage parlour in Brighton (next to the Queen's Head) minced up to Mylo at a recent gig and suggested that it might be an idea to mash up one of his tunes with one by Gloria Esterfan. Mylo, remembering that he was thinking the same thing just last week, ingeniously thought of Drop The Pressure and Dr Beat. What a man!'
