Hmm, is anyone else thinking of going to this? I've not got anything planned yet for tomorrow and would love a trip back to the 333...usernick wrote:On a related subject, Hexstatic/Exactshit are at 333 this Saturday (or rather, "Stuart Hexstatic, Exactshit Set")
I'm already going out, so no chance of making it, but it should be fun!
Having said that tho, I am in Rivington St tonight @ the Comedy cafe, shame it wasn't tonight, I could just go straight on afterwards!

Oh damn I never checked the board again all w/e
Got a text from Phil on Saturday early evening but I was already @ a BBQ in Brixton by then, sorry guys. Next time we must be more co-ordinated!
So how was Stuart and the 333 in general? For some reason my Hexstatic news emails stopped ages ago

It rocked... Stuart was on top form. Played his Diana Ross/Missy Elliot boot, Killer Boots mk2, Doctor Pressure (original Phil n' Dog version) and something else... Oh and these were all videos too...
I'll leave it to Phil to maybe identify what it was
It's not really a secret but still...
Apparently there will be another 'Exactshit' DVD out at some point too, but Stuart didn't tell me when.

I take it the 'something else' he played was the 'something else' they didn't play at the Big Chill?
Dr Pressure on Radio 1 this morning!
Chris Moyles explained that 2 guys called Phil and Dog from Brighton made the track then Mylo thought it was a good idea and thought he'd nick it for himself!

Disagree with you actually Loopz...
the guys know how behind all this I am, and seeing the track at the Big Chill and hearing it on national radio is one of the biggest buzzes ever (and I've got nothing to do with it!), but in the end, it's a Mylo track and a Gloria Estefan track. Yes, it would have been nice to see them get some sort of percentage on it, or a remix fee or something (don't exactly know what they're getting anyway) but Mylo is under no obligation whatsoever to do that. If it was me in their shoes, I'd be happy with the recognition and profile that's going to come out of it rather than a few hundred quid or couple of grand or whatever....
I know Phil and Ian have put a lot of work into promoting this and have learnt a few lessons about the business too
and I hope they consider that worthwhile too...

It depends what you are in it for really. yeah i couldnt agree more with hearing your name mentioned on national radio is good enough recognition itself. Hearing a track played that you gave the idea for is good as well.
I'm sure they would both agree that a bit of money /percentage would be nice and also i'm sure they would be happy to make a living out of music rather than their current jobs. Also dont take it away from them, it IS a Mylo track and a Gloria Estefan track but its also their brilliant idea.
There is no reason why Mylo couldnt have given them a bit of dosh. He isnt poor
They already have the recognition from it but if i was in Mylo's sandals then it would be the gentleman kind of thing to do. I think they deserve it even more than the recognition.

Wouldn't we all like to give up our jobs for music?
In no way did I mean to take anything away from them..it's a classic bootleg, and they've worked their asses off to get this far.
