Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Well, presumably meeting up at The Prince Of Wales at some time TBD! :)

I know that DogS will have to travel down across from Bristol, and obviously Kelvin will be travelling down from Liverpool...

Me? I'm working from home (again!), so whenever I can get myself down to Brixton! :D

what sort of time guys?

For Memly and I to meet up i guess it all depends on the traffic from Bournemouth - Andover, traffic on the m3...trains at richmond and trains at Victoria as to what time we get to Brixton.

Wow!!
What a gig... NIN definately delivered. I'm not a huge fan but I was definately blown away by last nights performance. The sound was absolutely spot on and I think my retinas have been burnt... towards the end of the gig I had to synchronise my blinking with the powerful strobes in fear of my eyes bleeding.

To coin a phrase...it was blinding (sorry)

As for the outfits...wow it was like an S&M convention, which was bloody great 8)

I dont think I've ever seen such high platform thigh length PVC boots in all my life... I WANT MORE!!!

...and that was just the blokes :roll

Didnt see any gimps though, slightly disappointed.

Good to see Nick and Dogs again, and to meet Pooka, hopefully you guys didnt miss too much of the gig

Apologies for the terrible jokes but I've had 2 hours sleep.
I don't know you people...why are you here?

Yeah, damn good gig - very loud and very hot! :D

We got to the gig just after Nine Inch Nails began their set, and met up with Kagey, Knufjuf, Sto0sh, Womanfriend and Miss Chevious (?) in the venue - a partial Geography Group B reunion!

Me and Pooka stayed at the back (God, was it hot!!) - loved the set, especially the Joy Division track (I'm crap with names, so can't remember the actual track name).

Good to see Willsy and Memley again and the Liverpool contingent - we *MUST* meet up again at some point... :D

Sorry for bailing. Got home with a temperature of 39.2Deg. and am sitting here now still at 39.1, despite various bits feeling very cold. If I'd have gone in there last night, I would've collapsed...

Without a doubt.
It was about that temperature inside the academy.
Luckily cos my head was slightly above the "throng" (yes throng)I was able to catch the odd breeze...but then I started to wonder where that breeze was coming from

Well here i am sat two days after the gig and i am still in major awe at how fantastic the whole NIN live experience was...as i have mentioned NIN were pretty much my favourite band from the early to late 90's, i kinda lost touch with them for a few years but the desire to see them live was always strong. I obviously cant compare UK shows since this one was the only one i went to but i must admit, if the others were better than this one then they must have been something immense...

I think i sang through 80% of the set, the only tunes i was'nt so familiar with were the ones off the fragile album...fortunately all the classic were played...and hearing/singing along to hurt was simply divine!

I could not believe it when the set started with Wish (one of my fav NIN tunes) i always thought Pinion started so you can imagine how cool it was to start proceedings with such a powerful tune (not that any of the others lacked any real power!!!) and I was chuffed to bits that Something i can never have was played (as i had seen the setlist from the night before that this one was left out)

As Memly mentioned the sound was simply amazing, Trents vocals were neither too loud and screechy or too quiet. One particular highlight for me was The Frail/Wretched when the drums came in...could that guy hit the drums any harder!!!!

Just about the only thing i was slightly gutted about (and i blame my 5ft 7' height for this) was not seeing Trent wreck his guitar at the end of Head Like a hole!

All in all an amazing experience, one that i will certainly remember forever and it will go down as one of the best gigs i have ever seen...i can now see why the entire uk dates sold out in less than 18mins all those months ago!

Thank god for ebay!!!
