I did a search on iTunes for Orbital and came across a Victoria Angeles track "I'll Give You Everything (Orbital Mix)".
The preview sounds a lot like early Orbital although apparently the track was released in 1998.
Is it Orbital? No info on the Remixes page. It also appears to be only available on the US iTunes store which means I can't listen to the whole thing.
Victoria Angeles?

It's 106 miles to Chicago.
We got a full tank of gas,
half a pack of cigarettes.
It's dark and we are wearing sunglasses

Stumbled by this again today when I did a search on iTunes, and it's now available to people in the UK. So I spent 79p in the name of research...
Hmm, it sounds like it could be Orbital. The bass and strings in particular, although maybe not the drums so much... Shame about the vocals - they actually make my ears hurt.
So, even if it is Orbital, I don't think we've missed much.
