i had lunch in Antwerp today
a steak with a sort of dragon (what you call it, not the mythical animal but the herb)

we where kind of in the neighborhood, so we thought, why not sit an extra hour in the car to see Antwerp for a change :D

yesterday was A Good Day for food, and just in general. the only questionable bit was getting up at 7am on a saturday, but it was worth it - 10 of us went down to where my mate's parents live and hired out a barge for the day. by the time we'd loaded up the boat and set off down the canal, the natural instinct was to crack open the first beer and start nibbling at the copious munchies - at 9:30am
so the day was spent drifting, eating and drinking on the canal, only stopping at a couple of pubs to, um, eat and drink.
then went back to the parents' house for the evening, they did us an amazing spread of food, bbq and all, and yeah we kept drinking. and played silly games. bloody great day 8)

For lunch, I had pasta with broccoli, green beans, garlic, tomato, black olives, and feta

For dinner, I had a sandwich on a baguette (brie, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, broccoli sprouts and a few walnuts - Tam, it reminded me of that day we went to the beach!), a salad with strawberries, walnuts, and poppy seed dressing, and a couple dill pickles... finished it off with strawberry shortcake

For my brother, I made jerk burgers with orange chipotle mayo, and grilled some salmon with the jerk sauce for my dad... they also had baked potatoes.

Fresh Ontario strawberries right now = :D :D :D

for late breakfast, i had the obligatory hangover fryup - egg, bacon, beans, hash browns - no tomatos or anything interesting to hand.

for dinner, left over honey & mustard "chicken tonight" with chips & peas.

down t'pub, a couple of packets of crisps... :?

Chicken Tonight?! The jarred sauce stuff?

I haven't heard that brand name in ages, I don't think they sell it here anymore.
