It's not getting great reviews tbh. I was hearing complaints about the sound afterwards from punters, mainly that it was too loud and bass-heavy. Also that there was no real connection between them and the crowd. I was side stage for the gig and so had different sound issuses to the punters, but I was surprised at how little acknowledgment there was from Phil. After the opening nos. there was the usual speil but from there to the end there wasn't a word out of him. The fact that there was no real breaks during the set didn't help (apart from a slight fuck-up at the the beginning of The Box). They seemed to be enjoying it but the crowd did seem a little quiet.

Madness were tremendous fun, the get-out was a killer and I am due a bollocking from herself when she gets home from work.

For al the confidence I showed at this juncture 6 months ago, I only got confirmation that I was going to this at 11.30 last night.

Terrible amount of DJ talking over tracks at beginning and especially the end...and only an hour with Halcyon starting the broadcast and Chime cut short at the end...a bit annoying.

Just landed home now. Will review the gig properly later but for the moment I will comment with WOOOOO.

Badger, the gig was late going and they were out the other side over the officical endourse time. The beginning though is inexcusable of course.
