Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
For those of us desk-raving with sneaky DAB's at work could anybody who caught all the radio and video parts of the set drop the track list in this thread? Due to having to answer the phone (work, eh!) I missed about the first 10mins and couldn't stream the video-only last bit!
Ta in advance.
Ta in advance.

Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!
SETLIST:
One Big Moment
Straight Sun
Halcyon (Part 1 & 2)
Sad But True
Beelzedub
Never
Straight Sun blew me away. A lot chunkier than the album version. Think One Big Moment needs a little more work. Halcyon had some good new elements in it but needs more Opus III samples in it
. Sad But True was incredible and a great surprise having this back in the set. Beelzedub really worked especially with the Satan samples in the middle of it. Never sounded great and think this might also be the main set ender in April possibly.

Hopefully the rest will be available on streaming again later.
I loved straight sun anyhow, but completely agree the live version is blooming brilliant. It was the first time i had heard one big moment and really liked what i heard, i think it will be polished up a little for the gigs.
The only track i wasn't too sure about in the set was never, i like it don't get me wrong but it sounded a bit flat after the other tracks, maybe thats just cos i wanted to carry on raving to big fat squelchy beats.

Just listening to the iplayer.
One Big Moment. Great tune, bits of it really remind me of Gobsmack.
Straight Sun. Tune of the album from what I've heard so far and this version has me licking my chops waiting for the gigs.
Halcyon. Excellent version. Bon Jovi at least kept to a minimum. Plenty of new stuff to prevent staleness though.

Ta for that - I'll have to do some radio/video stream ripping when I get home from work tonight and piece it all back together as one audio set.Badger wrote:SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

Is it me or is Beezledub just a dubstep version of Satan? or was it wrongly titled by BBC?
I had assumed that Beezledub was going to be a reworking of Beezlebeat.
All sounded good at Maida Vale anyway - managed to be the last person in before they shut the doors - phew

That must have been you directly in front of me then!!! I was the one the doors closed on - not so phewgeedub wrote: managed to be the last person in before they shut the doors - phew

There was a good 30/40 people behind me as well. Not happy bunnies.
Enjoyed Beezledub on the red button though (consolation prize when I got home). Satanic sounds for the post Dubstep/Credit Crunch generation.

Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
Yeah I'll second that... Maida Vale rocked.
I thought Straight Sun sounded amazing! Shame it wasnt the album version.
Geedub: What was your ticket number? Were you far back in the queue outside?
Halcyon sounded perfect! The best version I have heard yet. No need to mess around with it now
Beelzedub sounded good, but I was told it wasnt strictly the album version.
The first tune sounded very good, but I hadnt heard it before.
A very worthwhile trip and it was good to catch up with some of the forumites.
