Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?

Re: Glastonbury!
I heard Phill and Paul are going...

It's 106 miles to Chicago.
We got a full tank of gas,
half a pack of cigarettes.
It's dark and we are wearing sunglasses

Re: Glastonbury!
First time I've seen Orbital and was definitely one of the highlights of the festival.
Having never heard there Dr Who remix was absolutely blown away when they closed with it.
Does anyone know any other tracks they played, I think I recall a remix of Nick Kershaw - The Riddle?

They played some old classics and some stuff that they've been working on recently.wlf wrote:First time I've seen Orbital and was definitely one of the highlights of the festival.

It was an excellent set, I agree.
Phil was 'avin it, which is no surprise, and so was Paul towards the end. Great stuff.
Can't remember hearing Nick Kershaw myself, though that by no means says they didn't play it!
Haven't seen any footage yet, but haven't really had time to look.

Re: Glastonbury!
Gutted I missed out.
Saw a small glimpse of the arcadia area and it looked rather good.
Did you have a good time Dave? Can you remember any of it? Who else rocked?

Re: Glastonbury!
I spent most of my time this year on the main stages Mems.
Chemical brothers were very good - a bit of a return to form IMO. Primal Scream were excellent also.
Just sent this to a mate who was also there:
Secret Sisters – 1st act Acoustic Friday, went along with mrs. Ok if you like country music..
Wu Tang Clan – weird gig, the crowd and the ‘band’ couldn’t seem to work each other out. They expected the crowd to be clued up on their stuff which they clearly weren’t. A good experience all in all though
BB King – very good for his age. Good to have that on my CV.
BAD – good but couldn’t get close to the stage because of all the Radiohead fans
Radiohead – couldn’t get sight of the stage so left
Primal Scream – excellent as expected
Anna Calvi – very good but a bit dirgy
Warpaint – OK
Elbow – probably the highlight of the weekend
Chemical Brothers – excellent, best I’ve seen them for a while
Orbital DJ set – Excellent in a great setting, Arcadia
Laura Marling – Very good but she needs to work on her stage presence
Paul Simon – very good, would have preferred a few more oldies
Plan B – excellent
Pendulum – Okish
Orbital played (from memory):
Fahrenheit 303/3D3 (might be wrong about this, though, since I'm shit at track titles)
Crime
Halcyon live (I think from Glasto last year, again might be wrong)
Chime (I think(!) - memory suffering at this point)
Dr ?
I'm sure another one or two classics that I can't remember....
They opened with the dirty beats they featured in the last podcast plus loads of other stuff that I didn't recognise but sounded VERY Orbital. All very good.
