Well i played it all the way through which is something i struggle to do with a lot of music these days Thought it was a lovely happy chilled track with some nice sounds. I have to admit i could have happily listened to that without the beats - seemed a bit too harsh for such a nice tune and i wasnt too keen on the piano. Still sounded very nice
Thanks for the comments, it's always good to get some constructive feedback.
Yeah it's more geared up for an ambient version, which I'll muck about with for the 2nd mix.
The track was more a test of my recently aquired Nexus 2 plug in on Ableton with a wee bit of Reason in there for the beats.
I really struggle with compression & eq which would probably explain the harshness of the beats (a helpful soul on here gave me some good tips - thanks , although the myspace bit rate didn't really bring out the warmth in the track.
But hey I'm happy enough that it's going down well with the folks that have heard it.
Nice relaxing tune. Somewhere in between Orbital and Moby. The best thing the track has going is that synth line--very beautiful. The piano fit in pretty well, except I might quiet/soften it a bit.
The 4/4 beat didn't do much for me but it worked okay. Experiment with changing it up a bit. The only part of the track that I didn't like was the breakdown to silence.
Nice stuff shady.
I like the bass, not too keen on the 4x4 kick, but love the pad n piano work.
I have Nexus 1, but tbh I dont really find much space for it.
I'm currently whoring this little power house...
Although I just seem to be making mad lfo'd farty noises with it. Got blinding reviews across the board, its great! (n cheap)
Memly, that synth is awesome! Been fiddling with it in Ableton and it's got some lovely patches built in. Like you, I've had not much luck with building them from scratch, but I've been messing about with the built in ones and modifying those to my requirements. The Jam and Spoon 'Stella' patch is wicked when you mess about with the filters....I've only got the demo, tempted to shell out for it....
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

I've noticed its quite processor hungry on the more evolving patches, but I have been very impressed with the patches in general. The any cable everywhere idea is cool and one that myself and any reason user should be fairly familiar with, but I am still getting lost with the routing capabilities and the signal path in general....
I suppose I should dig out the manual!
I think its very well priced for the quality and design of the synth. Its currently my favourite... It takes a lot for me not to instantly open NI Massive or the native Operator when starting a project.
I don't know you people...why are you here? MEMS MUZAK
