Excellent film. Forget the plot, which is a little simplistic; the visuals are terrific.
Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?

Loved it. Great acting, plot, music, and effects.
People seriously need to shutup about the story. This is James Cameron. His stories where never that deep and have always been fairly simple. I totally dug it. This was the first time I have truly felt for a CG character.

I found Neytiri strangely attractive... is this wrong?
...never thought I'd fancy a 10' tall blue woman.
I loved it too.
Such an immersive film, but will it stand the test of time and become a sci-fi classic like Star Wars/ 2001/ Terminator or Krull though?

Only time will tell, but I think we can likely expect a trilogy out of this. In terms of records, it just reached the 300 million mark (domestic) in 15 days. It took Titanic three times as long to make that. Worldwide, it has passed a billion today. Absolutely incredible.

There was this scene that cut from the film. Said scene is expected to be released on the extended version of the DVD release.davemacfrombath wrote: I must say, I kept hoping for a bit of nip slip.

The 3D really helps immerse you into the film.

Heh... I thought you'd joined a hippy commune Dave and was travelling around the country with your cider and whippets...
She is certainly an attractive woman, but I realize I have issues finding a 10' tall catlike woman with blue skin and weird hands attractive.
Although Sigourney will always be the gatekeeper to me...

She's attractive, because her body is completely natural. No plastic add-ons. Completely against the Hollywood trend.
Zoe was a good start. She's pretty hot herself.

I saw it last night in IMAX 3D & was very impressed. I really didn't have any problems with the story at all.
Hopefully I'll see it again while it's still in theaters.

Timbob: Combo breaker!
Actually, i thought it was a bit crap... The 3D effect didn't do anything for me.. the only thing it added to the movie was a headache.. That scene in the beginning where jake was followed by that beast, I didn't see anything.
That world looked cool, but the characters and story where so weak.. no, not weak, frustrating... I almost walked out of the cinema halfway.
Best part of the movie was the trailer...IMHO

It's dark and we are wearing sunglasses

This isnt a democracy you know... this is how anarchy starts; one different opinion (from a mad dutchman) then god knows where we will be!
