Heh, this is a good time for some public education for everyone

Finnish has nothing to do with the other Nordic (or Fennoscandic, which is the official word for Scandinavia and Finland combined
) languages. It's more related to Estonian and Hungarian than Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Icelandic.
But now on with the post-birthday partying...

Of course she has fins, you're not allowed to live in Finland without fins...
This naturally makes her a mermaid, and yes it must be the same girl, since not many mermaids will voluntarily live in a country where the sea becomes frozen in the winter.
