Stabilizer - Canine

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Stabilizer - Canine

Post by Willsy »

Was introduced to this guys Album 'Canine' by a mate earlier this week and i think its a real treat...great mixture of different music styles from breakbeat, electro, dance and hip hop.

After one quick listen to a few of the full streaming tracks available on the website http://www.stabilizer.co.uk i have now purchased my own copy.

Standout tracks for me at the mo are...

track 1 "what it takes" (nice summer tune)
track 2 "low slung"
track 5 "unbreakable"
track 8 "shakka"
track 9 "downtip"

but generally enjoying all of it!

Anyone else familiar with his stuff?
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"

His mix of Jean Jacques Smoothie's 'Love & Evil' a few years ago was excellent. Used to play that a lot. Not heard his album – was waiting for it, but never spotted it around (out here, at least).
