Here's advance warning of one to watch: this sunday (23rd Sept) 9pm on BBC2 is Stuart: a life backwards.
A true story about a homeless guy living life on the edge. I read the book and it was amazing, can't wait to see the film...

Orbital favourite Richard Cant is in it!

This is England
Loved the way this film was shot and made to look like it really was from the 80's, dialogue was also brilliant, had such a raw feel about it. Story line was very shallow and the ending very abrupt but I did actually quite enjoy this.

His films are very odd, but also very good. Always expertly executed dialogues in his films though I havent seen this one yet, but heard lots about it.Willsy wrote:This is England

I've reached that stage where i can now inflict some great movies in my daughters head
We watched "Star Wars" a couple of weeks ago and yesterday we watched "The Empire Strikes Back". Her best bit was when Luke lost his hand.
Back to real life i finally got to watch "Nil by Mouth" which was just as i thought it would be. Quite disturbing / shocking and Ray Winstone is fantastic in it. If you think you have a bad life...watch this...

Watched 'Lucky Chuck' starring jessica alba on dvd. Didn't know it has some norty bonking scenes which is fine with me but i watched it with me flatmate who just returned from ocktoberfest @ clarke quay. Bad idea ... he hit on me half way thru the film

Quack! Dip, sip & Go!! Or, just do the kitty shake.

I watched the remake of 3:10 to Yuma, starring Christian Bale and Russel Crowe, and it was fantastic. I love a good western, and this one lived up to the hype. Quality acting from the entire cast.

Some people don't get the Transformers. It's simple. They're big robots. And they change into things. And they fight. This is beautiful and mad. If you do not get this, there is something missing in your soul. - Paul O'Brien

I have the two Grindhouse Movies in my possesion at the mo so watched Planet Terror this arvo - Didnt like it, very well done but just not my bag! Will watch Deathproof later...
Also watched the latest Van Damme flick called Until Death...was ok but not recommended, to be honest I fully expected this so not too disappointed.
And to round off a weekend of slightly disappointing movies I saw "Next" with Nicholas Cage...which wasnt bad but was just way too predictable (if you excuse the pun, since the whole plot is revolved around Cage's character being able to see into his immediate future!!)
