Stir - Friday 12 October - Phil Hartnoll

Post by davemacfrombath »

The Original Indoor Festival that is Stir is Back!

After putting on a banging festival despite what is now officially recognised as the worst weather in UK festival history, the Glade Festival team of Nano records and Breaksday return to Heaven this October 12th for the next STIR party. Combining Breakbeats, Psy Trance, Electronica and Chill Out over now 5 rooms, STIR is the Glade’s indoor after party and a chance for the Glade community to come together without needing the wellies.

Capturing the indoor festival feeling with quality and diversity is what this night is all about and its reputation is spreading far and wide as Glade Goers from all over England come to London for this twice yearly knees up.

Scandinavian Psy Trance giants LOGIC BOMB are headlining the Psy floor, along with Nano records Talisman Tristan, both of whom will be playing from their new albums. The Nano Records UK stable is pretty much the cream of the UK’s Psy Trance artists and for this night they have joined with Solstice free party legends WINGMAKERS to host the room in honour of the long awaited album launch from their head man POGO who completes the line up with and Nano’s Laughing Buddha and Ans.

Breaksday is the original festival-style breakbeat jamboree. It started life by taking on Miami with arguably THE party of the Conference, three years ago. After the success of Breaksday at the Glade Festival.. Breaksday descends once again on the legendary Heaven with another fantastic line-up. From the drum n Bass attitude of Aquasky, to the filmic power of Hybrid. From the funk of JDS to the classics of Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll. From the London attitude of DJ Quest to the ‘New Kids On The Block’ Far Too Loud. Topped-off by Award Winning Rennie Pilgrem and the unique talents of Mc Chickaboo…….if you don’t like any of this lot, you don’t like breaks, it’s as simple as that.

Three more rooms make it a proper ramble round, the pick of the bunch being TRIBES hosted by Pathaan and featuring an interesting cornucopia of electronic delights including GAUDI, MIXMASTER MORRIS, NOVA and PATHAAN himself. Plus minimal electro techno vibes as Minimal Mayhem take over a 4th room for the first time!

Line up:
Nano: Logic Bomb, Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Pogo, Ans, RupsBreaksday: Rennie Pilgrem & Chickaboo, Hybrid, Phil Hartnoll, JDS, Aquasky, Quest, Far Too Loud Tribes: Pathaan, Mixmaster Morris, Gaudi, Tripswitch, Nova
Minimal Mayhem - Line up TBA

Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?
