What's The Last Film You Watched?

Just about to go and watch Napoleon Dynamite cos it looks ace. Will report back later...

Ps also picked up Octane for 2.99 on DVD in Blockbuster. Was I ripped off? I haven't seen it yet...

Saw "Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy" last night. I was dubious before seeing it as I rarely enjoy remakes, but I have to say that I thought it was absolutely A1.

It really tracked the writings of D. Adams, had just the right amount of humour, had brilliant CGI images & even CHEESE could follow the story!

Can't wait for the DVD

Thanx for posting this Rich. I went to Blockbuster on my lunch break and noticed it in there for 5.99. So i casually moved a 2.99 sticker on there and jobs a good un! £3 is about the right price for it

Tonight I'm having a couple of friends round to watch my new DVD, City of God. Absolutely amazing Brazilian film, set on the streets of Rio with a cast of local people. Like Scorsese but without the Hollywood glitz with a fab soundtrack too.
HIGHLY recommended!

That was my favourite film of last year...
Everything about it is superb... the story, the cinematography and the realism, not that I know what living in the slums of brazil is like....

Currently still on a Napoleon Dynamite tip

Since having watched it the first time, I keep thinking of some of the little quirky things in that film and finding it funnier each time...
Its definately a film that grows in character the more its watched IMO

i think the last film i saw was analyse that (or this.. can't remember.. the second one)

If I'll answer this honestly, I have to say Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron...

Actually for a childrens cartoon there were some nice fresh changes in it (like that the horses couldn't talk and that the white folks were the bad guys). The music was horrifying though, and there was a lot of it...

But the last movie meant for a bit older crowd that I saw was Donnie Darko, which I liked very much. Timetravelling bunny rabbits and all...

There were a couple of things (or holes) in the plot that I didn't quite get, but otherwise it was pretty enjoyable.

I watched Star Wars episode 1 - The Phantom Menace again to remind me of the plot before I see episode III at some point.

It's not that bad - it's not that good but it's not that bad.

Jar Jar Binks isn't as bad as the damn puppets that bring the entire Empire to it's knees in Episode VI.

SPOILER FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN DONNIE DARKO YET (if you haven't scroll over this message):

I never got how was Frank able to timetravel if he was already dead (since he was shot in the eye by Donnie). Did I miss something or just didn't get it? Or is it a plot-hole?

Since even if one could develope the skill to travel in time by one's personal wormhole if it followed his/her given path, wouldn't this ability be taken away after death? Please explain (Timbob or anyone else) since this really bothered me.

I watched this last night

I didnt think frank timetravelled at all? I was under the impression he was guiding Donnie to this particular point in time so Donnie could travel back in time and prevent any of the things happening thus preventing Franks death... or something like that

Excellent film anyhows, Mr Swayze is great and Jake Gyllenhaal is superb as Donnie.
