this months Sound on Sound magazine (Dec 2006) has a good 5 page spread on the recording of Chime and well as other Orbital bits n bobs.

I haven't read it yet as its just poped thru me letterbox, I'm going to now over me dinner

November issue (FSOL) is still in the shops at the moment, so will check later on this week (or next week).

I've just picked it up in Morrissons....good interview, Paul also clears up the confusion over the Chime samples - good to know finally how he got the sounds but disappointing ultimately

Covers a lot of the history about the early days of Chime and how it got recorded and discovered...

I never really appreciated the difference between the 7 and 12 inch versions before. I've only got the 7inch on cassette, I'll have to dig it out and have a listen.
