Soulseek Help

Post by shadyboy »

A plea for some help please from the more techy guys here -
I have the latest version of Soulseek, but when using it the bugger starts freezing - I used to have this problem with Winmx, but changed the settings to a Secondary internet connection to free up my CPU usage - I'm guessing the same things happening here.

Was working fine on version 152, but all the updated ones from them are doing the same thing.

Help!

Have you just been updating slsk every time?

Maybe it's time for a fresh install. Uninstall the old one & delete it directory (but back up your hotlist.cfg file first. It's your user list). Then get a fresh copy of slsk & install it.

Already tried that PLA - still does it.
I'm guessing that I'm gonna have to change the port/router settings, but don't know how to on SLSK....

I know that SLSK has issues with the Service Pack 2, but I uninstalled that and it still don't work right....
