One is cheaper and easier to get to than the other.

I've been to I Love Techno though and it IS good.

that I LOVE TECHNO does look like fun

wish we had a snazzy website, massive sponsors & big budgets (rather than overdrafts and borrowed cash from parents)

still, despite the warehouse sessions, fabrics b'day, and i love techno getting *all* the press coverage, i think we'll still have a good party...

I wanna do both but that aint possible so I love techno has won with the weekend away and a fw days with my sister in amsterdam too !

she moved over a year ago and this has been my first visit !

I will not be doing 'Soviet' now as I just have far too much happening on all the weekends after that for a very long time...

Excellent night all round I think.

The Grid were the dog's and Phil excelled.

The venue ('converted' cinema) was highly reminiscent of Brixton Academy, but maybe a quarter of the size. The seats had been taken out of the stalls but were still there in the balcony, from where you could sit and listen to the music in the main stage whilst watching a variety of equally wacky and disturbing films. One genuine piece advising the Califorian cops on the mechanics of childbirth was particularly mind-blowing...

Phil started his set with a full-blast version of Impact - live I think - followed by some random tunes.

This is turning into the shitest review ever...

Halfway through the set Chime started up with predictable mayhem in the crowd.

Then he played some mpore tunes, some of which may or may not have been Longrange. All were highly danceable.

Finished off with... go on - guess...

Oh alright, it was Doctor ?.

But the treat of the night was when he left the stage, then came back on in response to the 'one more tune' demands of the happy throng. After a bit of good natured pleading with The Man, he was given the go-ahead to play (da da daaa) THE BOX. We were even treated to the blast-from-the past spectacle of him doing his 'mad pianist' routine...

A great night all round.

Have to agree with everything you say - great review.

I'm compelled to make a minor correction (sorry Dave), in that he started with 'Impact' followed by 'Impact USA', which rocked my fookin box.
