Hi everybody,
I'm Torben and I visit Loopz and this forum for years now, but i've been always too lazy to write some things down here, cause my english isn't that good, and it's really boring to say something without being able to put some humor in it....
but let me shortly introduce myself, before i'll write the topic i wanted to...
I come from the north west of germany, only 20 mins away of the coffee shops in the netherlands....
Orbital are my musical heroes since i saw them '96 on the PinkPop Festival in Holland. btw on that monday I also saw the chemical brothers, underworld, the prodigy, radiohead, sepultura, ebo man, the fugees, rage against the machine radiohead and ....
Favorite orbital songs: Impact, Belfast, Dwr Budr, ......... .
I like also: BoC, Godzilla, Ballack, HSV, Salads, Autechtre, Dogs (especially my Labrador/Münsterländer/Mix "Pinto"), Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, My Bed, Bud Spencer, Cubase, Red Snapper, Sunshine, Plone, Plaid, Broadcast, ImpOscar, My Family, A Good Breakfast, Beer, Gus Gus (listen to their new song "need in me"!), PES5, Herman Hesse, Paella, Oceans, German Hip Hop,
Beastie Boys, Michel de Montaigne, Festivals, Björk, Native Instruments, Youtube, Beck, Ennio Morricone, Massive Attack and so much more.....

I live in holland, about less then 20 minutes from the coffeeshops :P (not that i visit them anyway...)

I don't live in Holland, but when I do go there, I try and visit the coffeeshops (especially if they're only 20 minutes away)! 8)

Certainly in Amsterdam it seemed that way.
For what it's worth, I have always found that for all their liberalism (in terms of their attitudes to what other people do) the Dutch are actually quite a conservative people in and of themselves. Sobriety and Probiety seem to be the watch words.
