Music in TV Adverts...

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Ok so I am new around here and I hope my Intro Posto will get you guys thinking good and hard.

I remember a piece of music from a site I visited some time back while looking for Darren and Lisa from the comfort adverts.

On this site Studio A.K.A I also found a mini site regarding a feature length animation called Jojo in the stars.

Look in short films you will find it there, also the rest of the site is quite interesting too, you may see a few familiar adverts from the past in there.

http://www.studioaka.co.uk/html/index.html

Recently while watching the Rot box I heard a familiar piece of music, and I later realized that I heard this music first on the Studio A.K.A site.

If I remember correctly the advert contained a scene of which a girl crouched down and dissapeared into a rabbit hole, she was in fact wearing bunny ears and the background behind was covered in stars and like.

What I want to know is what is the piece of music that accompanied that advert, and also backs the video in the Jojo in the stars feature film trailer.

Also I would just like to comment that I am an Autechre fan as of recently, and it's nice to have confirmation that the Audi Q7 advert music was in fact a remix of the track Reniform puls from the album ( Correction ) Draft 7.30 it was.

Autechre were used on the LG advert and not the Audi advert...

See myspace link.

Well here's the music anyway, I just remember it being a car advert.

So what was the music to the Audi Q7 advert, was it the music below in this myspace link, it's not from Tri repetae im sure.

http://www.myspace.com/autechrefan

You know what I am so confused, I feel a right plank now.

Well it's my own fault as I dont have a TV meself, have not had one for over 7 yrs.

Actualy I have just been reading back in the posts here dog, and im a lil perplexed.

You got any ideas on the above piece of music on The Jojo in the stars mini site, and maybe you could re enlighten me on the advert I saw recently Dog

:P A ha it seems someone on Myspace has got it wrong, it's a band called E*vax, track called Glacier.

Certainly fooled me.

Comes off a compilation, putting the Morr back in Morrisey.

:(

No ideas what the short piece of music is on the Studio A.K.A site.

Short Films >

Jojo in the stars >

Trailer.

I saw it on a TV advert recently, saw it I think twice but I fail to remember what the advert was about.

Just imagine the lady with bunny ears disapearing into a huge warren and a tree surrounded with artificial stars, maybe that will jog your memories.

I think the advert you are referring to is the Debenhams summer sale advert.

Its got a kinda whiny electro violin sound with a bit of a trip hop beat. Is that the one. The bunny has a fit arse! :D
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.
