What Are You Listening To Now?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Bloc Party - Price of Gasoline

What a great album. I totally dismissed them to start off with. Really liking it now though.

Wow, that sounds worth it for it's remix name alone

now listening:
Joakim - I wish you where gone (JK dub)
a Joakim album is coming, and what i heard from him so far, it's gonna sound interesting.

It is also pretty basic... I'm thinking of having a stab at remixing 'Halcyon' myself, but nothing along the lines of the usual... Oh no, that wouldn't work...

I've had that Halcyon (eXbee Remix) for years.

You sure that was the one played on Pete Tong?

Always quite liked the eXbee remix. Very chilled.

yeah definitely nothing revolutionary about it, but just effective and, um, nice. :D (and yeah i've thought about remixing it too - started toying with it awhile ago, but as one of the first things i did while starting to learn to perduce, it didn't get very far - still on the endless list of things to do in the future tho 8) )
also really liked his morcheeba remix on the same site.
