Sceamadelica = classic, but...
They're just shit these days, yes?
New single = remake of Fat Bottomed Girls?
Let's have a fight...

Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?

...oh and i still can't help kinda wishing that they'd had the nads to release a certain track as it was originally and as they'd been playing it live before a certain obvious event, rather than redoing the chorus and renaming it "shine"...
who'd object to a song called "bomb the pentagon" anyway?

Sure, Screamadelica is a classic. Vanishing Point was a messy album, but with enough ace material to force respect. But I think their true masterpiece is XTRMNTR, for all its sonic exploration and rage.
Evil Heat was disappointing, but at least the exploration was still going on. I'm very puzzled by their latest offering. At least, their last venture in americana tribute (Give Up But Don't Give In) made sense in their evolution. Now it just looked outdated (not to mention very boring).
Too bad, really.

Not got the new album yet, but XTRMNTR is awesome. Hated it at first, but it's proper rockin when you get into it. When they toured it they were fantastic too - I've seen them play three or four of the best gigs I've ever seen. I'm into most of the stuff they've done before, so I've got plenty of time for the band and whatever music they feel like making.
Looking forward to seeing them again on Sunday.
