O2 wireless festival

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Hey Mel, i must apologise for not meeting up, your text to say you were near the ice cream van at the back came through as we were walking to get out of Hyde Park prob about an hour after you must have sent it to me. By then everyone was on a mission to get the tube home so i didnt get a chance to meet up.

Hope you had a good time....how good were Massive Attack!!!

Went yesterday

damn good day out

Goldfrapp was fab as were Depeche mode.. ( great camera work from the crew too..

only grumble was the sound.. was jus too damn quiet.. were 50 meters from the front and could have a normal conversation with my mates.. so it was jus a bit tame !

S'ok Willsy, I bumped into quite a few people in there actually which was quite amusing. I was queuing up to get some falafal and tripped over my mate who was sitting down eating his food.

I have to say that the sound was relatively low, although it was noticeably louder when MA were on.

MA were great, even though 3D's voice is really not that great live.
I felt the ones with him singing were a tad boring such as Butterfly Caught.
Why are they doing that live?
Even Inertia Creeps which I like sounded not so good. I was with a friend who said she found those tracks boring and I didnt really blame her. I think its better to play those type of tracks at a MA gig as opposed to a festival they are headlining.

I left just as Terry Callier finished Live With Me as I was feeling ill, probably due to the flashing lights  but i will see them in Gloucester next month so I'll be looking forward to that.

Flaming lips were hilarious. Tried to get into the XFM tent to see DJ Shadow and it was rammmed, couldnt even get in there. Couldnt hear anything either :(
You look real great.
In bloodstains.

Yeah the vocals were very quiet wernt they, but i must admit i have never seen MA live so to hear Butterfly Caught (one of my favs) was a treat for me. Unfinished Sympathy was quality and Safe From Harm (another fav of mine) was excellent.

We tried to get in the XFM tent too see a bit of Shadow too....he was a bit popular wasnt he! Gave up and went for another beer!

When is the Gloucester gig?
