But so many new questions....who really are the Others/Hosiles/Good people?
Charles Wigmore's daughter/Desmonds bird, why is she tracking electromagnetic activity and why is finding elecromagnetic activity significant in linking it with finding Desmond and what the hell was that last scene all about....roll on series 3!!!
Is Charles Wigmore part of the Dharma Initiative?
Why was Hurley allowed to walk free?
What was that weird statue? Why only four toes?
Dharma Secrets forum here i come!
It's Widmore, not Wigmore. The Widmores are one of the main subjects of 'Bad Twin' along with the Hanso Foundation, so there is a link there. 'Bad Twin' is the novel written by Gary Troupe and was the manuscript that Sawyer was reading.
Penelope Widmore is the woman who wanted to adopt Claire's baby...
Finally, I think Penelope Widmore is Persephone
As for 'The Others', I'm still sticking to my theory that they're either the Dharma volunteers or they're on the island to monitor the volunteers. They're very direct and scientific with their approach.

Cheers Dog, glad you're paying attention! I totally forgot about Penelope wanting to adopt Claires baby!
i wonder if .. that lady was actually looking for desmond, or just the island itself.
because that guy from the others (i'm terrible with names) said to michael "you won't be able to find this island"
also, it's kinda weird only noticed locke when he was banging on the hatch.. after he and boone did all kinds of things to open it.. he should've heard that.
Or the plane crash.. that's something you'll hear from a distance.
what would happen if desmond didn't do the key thing
man, is it september yet?...
It's 106 miles to Chicago.

Penelope Widmore is looking for Desmond, it's obvious from her quote when she met him at the sports stadium... "With enough money, you can find anyone".

I'm just seriously into this series and have done a lot of digging around on teh intarweb for answers, passwords, clues to the hidden stuff on the Hanso site etc...
I still think the best is yet to come. I sincerely hope that they do stick to the 3 series and film idea as if it drags on too long ala '24' then it's going to turn stale...

yeah but.. how does penelope know desmond is on an island with some sort of super magnet?
He went sailing, and then he crashed. washed up to this island, and wasn't able to contact anyone.
How on earth can she now he's on that island.
and anyway. henry did push the button when locke had his leg stuck under the blas door. or else there would be this magnetic explosion like there was in the last episode..
but why did he tell locke he didn't push the button?

Remember you can press the button after the timer and it will cancel the build up which eventually leads to the explosion. The build up only starts after the timer reaches 0. So Henry must of pressed the button but not before the timer hit 0.
I have no idea how Penelope knows about the magnetic field etc. There are many things that confuse me about this bloody series!

I don't know if you noticed, but Henry's been messing with Locke's head for a long time.
For the record, I can't see how Penelope would know to look for Desmond by monitoring electromagnetic disturbances; the final scene really confused me because of that.
The Hex
Some people don't get the Transformers. It's simple. They're big robots. And they change into things. And they fight. This is beautiful and mad. If you do not get this, there is something missing in your soul. - Paul O'Brien

I'm currently reading 'Bad Twin', which is based on Clifford Widmore. The Widmore Building in New York is home to the Widmore company on the 47th floor, but on the 42nd floor is the Hanso Foundation... Widmore's company has had dealings with the Hanso Foundation and developed new techniques for reinforcing concrete with/for them Paik Heavy Industry have also been linked to Widmore's company and I'm sure Paik was the company owned by Sun's father, the one Jin worked for.
Anyway, there is a link between Widmore and Hanso, Hanso runs the Dharma Initiative and Penelope Widmore is Clifford Widmore's daughter. If Penelope is 'Persephone', which now makes even more sense than before (now that I'm reading the book) then she'll know all about what her father has done for the Hanso Foundation and where... Plus, if you've been keeping tabs on the goings on over on the Hanso site, you'll know that 'Persephone' has been doing a lot more digging around...
