Post by Loopz »

I may be going down to sunny Bristol for this. Worth going for Ochre alone. He has done 2 live sets at Brum Creative...both very worthy! Anyone else going ?

GlitchNight #5 Toytronic Night.

Friday 26th May 2006 - The Arc Bar, 27 Broad Street, Bristol, BS1 2HG.

Playing Live:

Multiplex:

Multiplex are known as one of the UK's best independent IDM acts on today's electronic scene, and with 'Xpand' their first full length release in three years (since the very well received 'Pinghaus Frequencies' on Toytronic) they show us that they truly deserve this status. The duo have evolved to a place where the music is about creating beautiful melodic and harmonic structures, It’s about evoking a deeper feeling through sound. The pair create their music through a collection of various musical toys such as software, vintage analogue and digital synthesizers.

Ochre:

Chris Leary is undoubtedly one of the most promising young talents of the British electronic scene of today, after propagating his music via the Internet for some years, he has, in the last couple of years, started to gain a steady following of electronic admirers. His work has appeared on countless compilations, and his first album, A Midsummer Nice Dream, was released on Toytronc at the end of 2004. Ochre’s second Album, "Lemodie" is released on Becbecula records later this year.

Infinite Scale:

Infinite Scale is Harmi Palda from, London, UK. Infinite's music direction draws towards electronic, soundtrack, film, breaks, experimental, harmony, emotion, love and attitude. His Musical interests range purely across the board, with a major tilt towards the late 70's and 80's synth-electro and hip-hop scene. The Sound Sensor EP was released on Toytronic in 2005 to glowing reviews and has been played throughout UK's major stations XFM , ClassicFM , Radio 1, and Westside radio. US radio station Digital Nimbus voted it into their electronic top 10 for best of 2005! Harmi released his second EP, Automated Compositions, in Feb 2006 on London Label Boltfish Recordings to more glowing reviews from all over the world. Live performance have seen infinite Scale playing many London dates and abroad at the Trans Europa festival held in Hildesheim, Germany. Other performances have taken place in Paris, Barcelona, Hamburg and most recently Brussels for the 7 days festival held in Ghent.

In a room that size and a body this size, it would be quite difficult NOT to be in the pics...

As for the pizza - i genuinely have NO IDEA what that is and can't remember noticing it at the time. Might have been summat to do with Ocre?
