What Are You Listening To Now?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Sunday Brunch - 'Things You Said'

Nice jazzy vocal Jesper Dahlbäck stuff. Quite different from DK7 - 'Slipstream', another tune of his which had me dancing like a cock on Saturday night.

I'm still waiting for one of the Dahlback cousins to make a duff record but I don't think it's gonna happen soon.Really enjoyed their 'Sweden1 Canada0' tune from last year lots :D .

Listening to Sneaker Pimps 'post modern sleaze'.

DK7's stuff is lovely... Bit reminiscent of Black Strobe, Tiefschwarz and Alter Ego...

Grace Jones - Love Is The Drug

I was after Slave To The Rhythm actually, or even Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics, this afternoon when I was looking over a CD sale, but I could only find the album with this track on it.

I also didn't realise that Chicks On Speed covered her with Warm Leatherette either. Every day is a school day.

I'm listening to the Pet Shop Boys' 'Back To Mine'. Good fun!

Lackluster - live at Freeflow Helsinki 160703

A guy I know on another message board posted this and told me I had to download it, he described it as "good downtempo floaty idm" and it really is good.

Fabric Live 21- Meat Katie

Quality Breakbeat, with enough melody to keep it interesting.

Was just both listening and watching to the very oldskool music video for the amazing old Prodigy remix of Instruments of Darkness (by Art of Noise). Damn I love that track... :)

If someone else wants to get their hands on this (Pooka?) then here's a link: http://www.brainkiller.it/temp/VideoArt ... yRemix.mpg

Benjamin Diamond - 'Let's Get High'

New album from Mr Music-Sounds-Better-With-You, and he's still nice and smooth and twinkly, but he's bought himself a noisy guitar now too.

Petter "Untitled Acid"

I really don't know how to describe this one but it's a great tune.

Very uplifting and majestic.
