Autechre stuff...

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Discocyst: not sure - i just copied the url to my radio thing i'm recording it from... ae playing some rather funky stuff at the mo! :)

my recorder went on all night but i've got to sort out all the files i've now got - Loopz - you say 20-odd tracks...? i think they must've repeated a lot of them - woke up this morning to 400 megs! :o

happy listening!

if doors are at 8pm then why don't we meet an hour or so beforehand? between 6.30-7pm? I reckon I can get there for 7.

Aimee: Tour de France was part of their set last night! They were playing all sorts - what I heard was very good, but I think it was purely a DJ set, unless they moved onto other things after I'd gone to bed! My radio recording didn't stop til 3am this morning, but I don't know if it went on all that time... didn't have time to check. Will see what goodies I have when I get home later!!

Hi Dem! I didn't realise that was you! (duh) :) Well I really haven't had a chance to listen to much of the 7 hours (310 meg) !!! :o of their set yet....

But what I heard sounded like a complete mixture of (possibly) their stuff, mixing in lots of other tunes (Kraftwerk and KLF to name but two) - lots of old skool stuff too! So from what I got, I reckoned it to be a (live?) DJ set... whatever it was, it sounded mighty fine :)

Hmmm... well, I have to partly take this statement back. Having just listened to over an hour of the set, it seems to be mostly their stuff (nothing I think I recognise). Here and there they drop in stuff by other artists, but it's mostly live Ae in my judgement! Very nice BTW :) Has anyone else listened to it yet? - your verdicts???
