Spot the Orbital sample...

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

It's got those high-pitched tinny backwards noises that you hear most near the start of Girl With The Sun In Her Head, before the big chords kick in. You can hear them at the start of the clip if you listen carefully.

Orbital fan, my arse!

Christ thats tenuous.
Same pitch, I'll give you that, but thats all :D
Anyway thats my opinion, there is no way I would have made that connection myself.

sound is so over-used in today's music, i prefer minimalist tunes that do perfectly well without it.

Wow! I know Boomclick, they're a great 5 piece band (or more) from Brixton. They use decks, effects, synths, guitar, bongos and anything else. They may well have sampled Orbital 'cos I know they like them and I know Paul (the tall one) and some of the others went to some Orbital gigs. :)

On the other hand, Funky is slowly but gradually losing it and who knows what strange noises he hears in his head. Bless him.
