easy sister!!
After having watched so many of these bloody episodes I'm getting really confused.
After a quick memory scan..... yep i do remember it now, although its rather tenious isnt it?
Just as one question gets answered (in a round about way) another gazillion questions crop up.
I reckon the whole thing is a "Bobby Ewing" in the shower jobby;
the last episode will be jack waking up from a little nap he's having on flight 4316 (or whatever the flight is called) by a hostess...who is actually the french woman who tortured Sayid.
Then it will finish and we will all feel absolutely gutted and bitter that we spent hours and hours watching something where we became involved in the characters, wanted them to survive but it turns out it was all a bloody dream......

Well liking the big black guy.. cant wait to see his story.
Anna Lucia is very scary too, although I must admit she's definately got something
Its very clever the way the the stories intertwine and I must admit I got quite choked at the end of ep 8.
Yeah! I just watched episode 8 last night and I held back a tear as well.
Mr Echo is real cool, but dont like Ana Lucia, she's rather fond of guns isnt she?
I've noticed that on a few of the episodes (2 and 3 I think) there was a lot of to and fro-ing, a lot of stuff we had seen before which was a bit annoying.
I also felt the whole of episode 7 was watered down a lot as well.
just a hunch mind you; but he was on the "list" so potentially he aint a sinner (apart from the few "others" he knocked into a pulp).
My general theory is that its a kind of purgatory. Everything seems to test someone on the island (Charlie - Heroine/ Locke - the mysterious button/ Anna Lucia - Shooting an innocent person, etc).
I must admit a lot of these connections are incredibly tenuous but then also the original group of survivors havent really had a proper visit from the others unlike Anna Lucias mob which sort of clouds the viewers judgement as to who on the plane was meant to suffer and who was just damn unlucky... according to Mems theorum 1 that is.
Jin/sawyer and michael have had an encounter with the others so presumably they have all sinned too much but Michael hasnt really done anything too bad to warrant a trip to Hell Island (has he?).
I do realise my theory isnt quite upto the standards of Pythagorus or Einstien, but surely I should be considered for a Nobel Peace prize with this insight into 21st century entertainment.
Then maybe not.
That reminds me, not too long to go before we find out what "the incident" is and whether the whole Dharma Institute thing is for real or just another test.

I too wondered why the original people had therefore not been visited by "The Others"
And how big is that Island supposed to be anyway.
That bunker type place that Ana and those lot had been, is it the same one as the one that Locke is in???
And where did the Scottish "Brother" go???

desmond "my Brother" shat his pants and ran for the hills... he'll be back
As far as i can tell the others are based on the other side of the island where Anna Lucias mob landed. because of the islands inhospitable terrain I gather that it has taken 40 odd days for the others to trek accross the island to judge the rest of the survivors.
The island looks bloody huge doesnt it, I suppose this gives the writers enough flexibility to add stuff whenever they want to.
The two bunkers are seperate, seems to be very similar, but the one on the other side of the island was deserted and also had the "missing reel" in the Bible.

So what about Ethan? He was one of "the others" and appeared on the first day.
A thing which i keep thinking could be significant is the strength "the others" and Ethan seemed to have....Ethan in particular. He looked like a normal guy but had immense strength.

These could also give some clues as to what the island is about...
